Which edition of Minecraft do you host?
Our current hosting platform is built for Minecraft Java Edition. Software choices include Paper, Purpur, Vanilla, Fabric, Forge, and NeoForge. Other games are not available yet.
Can I install modpacks and plugins?
The server panel includes a modpack browser for supported Modrinth and Feed The Beast packs. Paper-compatible plugins can be managed through the Plugins and Files sections. Compatibility depends on the Minecraft version and software you choose.
Do I need to configure a server port?
No. During checkout you choose an available server name, and the portal provides a friendly Minecraft join address. You can copy that address straight into the Minecraft multiplayer screen.
Can I share access without sharing my password?
Yes. Server owners can invite other verified Surge Host accounts and control which server actions they can perform. Shared access is managed separately for each server.
What happens if I cancel?
Subscriptions renew monthly unless canceled. Cancellation is scheduled for the end of the current billing period. Read the Terms and Refund Policy for details about access and data removal when service ends.
Are backups included?
Backup storage is only included when an enabled plan explicitly lists a backup allowance. Check the features on your chosen plan rather than assuming every server includes backups.
Where will my server run?
The plan selector displays available regions and hardware details. Sold-out regions cannot be selected for new orders.
How do I get help?
Open a support ticket from the customer portal. You can also check the public status page for regional service health and scheduled maintenance.
